Work packages
The activities of the DEVICES project are organized in six Work Packages (WP). These are structured segments of the project, each focusing on specific tasks and objectives. They help organize and manage the project efficiently.
WP1. Project management and coordination
The aim of this WP is to ensure effective and adequate coordination and communication between the Consortium partners and other parties for successful project implementation. It guarantees a smooth flow of project activities, ensuring they are completed efficiently according to the planned timetables and allocated budget. This includes drafting Partner agreements and establishing project management structures, developing and adopting project management procedures and internal communication protocols, setting up a project administration office for day-to-day management, and preparing and organizing both face-to-face and online meetings.
WP2. Setting up the basis to build the workspace tool and learning achievements recognition
The importance of WP2 is to set up the basis for the workspace tool by identifying the best examples of similar practices worldwide and comparing their features. It involves conducting an analysis to gather the needs of students in relation to similar tools. The tool will be designed to encourage students’ reflexivity by continuously accompanying them through different phases of their careers. The model will be equipped with descriptions of professional competencies related to culture, pedagogy, organization, community, and professional growth. Additionally, the work package will define the assessment mechanisms and learning achievements recognition, as well as the technical features of the digital cross-curricular workspace.
WP3. Development of the cross-curricular digital workspace fostering a lifelong learning journey
The third package involves defining the technical features of the digital workspace, which is a software designed to support the development of professional competencies. The software will be developed using agile methods. Training for users will be provided online, with the training course available in the partnership languages. The work package also includes beta testing, conducted jointly with the Career Management Skills MOOC (Massive Open Online Course), and preparing a report on the piloting implementation. Finally, guidelines will be created to apply the comprehensive model.
WP4. Design of e-learning solutions on Career Management Skills
WP4 focuses on reducing the skills mismatch of students in Vietnam and Cambodia who are approaching the world of work. It seeks to improve employment rates and reduce the time needed for graduates to find their first occupation. Additionally, the work package aims to enhance the skills and awareness of academic teachers and guidance practitioners regarding the paradigm shift from choosing a career to lifelong career learning and building. It involves identifying and developing teaching and learning approaches, methods, and resources that effectively support the development of Career Management Skills (CMS) as key transversal competencies facilitating students’ transition from study to work. The work package also focuses on developing assessment and evaluation methods and practices that improve the quality of learning of CMS. Finally, it includes analyzing the possibility of integrating CMS into the higher education curricula in Vietnam and Cambodia.
WP5. Quality and Evaluation
The meaning of WP5 is to establish a corporate quality culture within the project. It seeks to provide Consortium partners’ staff with the necessary capacities to follow the quality assurance plan. This includes organizing and properly equipping a Project QA group. The work package ensures high quality of the project and its results by implementing and delivering internal quality assurance, control, and monitoring mechanisms.
WP6. Dissemination and Impact
This package has been designed to disseminate and spread awareness among all local stakeholders, including students, enterprises, other universities, teachers, and researchers. It seeks to diffuse and mainstream the strategies and results developed. This involves producing awareness materials, including the website and social media accounts, and organizing specific dissemination events. The work package ensures the participation of citizens and stakeholders in the awareness initiatives and helps sustain the project’s deliverables.
